(Drumroll plz) …SEA SKiVViES!

The Vision, our WHY: Combating pressing coastal challenges* will require purposeful everything, together.  And we want that “together” to feel good in its skivvies….

The Mission, our HOW: Conscious consumption, inclusivity, and body and sex positivity.  They’re our m.o., and our plan is to promote them all - covering your backside while GIVING BACK!  

The Deets

We’d sew underwear from thrifted clothes if we could - and if folks would buy it… But buying new underwear is a thing - so next best? Upcycle, recycle, buy natural fibers. (Let us know if you’re upcycling underwear out there!)

For now, we're printing on Parade's (recycled and recyclable) New:Cotton pairs.  You can read about how sea-friendly they are here. All are all gender/made for everyone. Their colors say FUN.

All printed by hand, using Permaset's Permatone inks and every effort to leverage sustainable materials and limit waste.  Shippin's ONLY w/in contiguous US for now (sorry AK and HI!)... at least until we can find some place-based partners to distribute. Anyone? Too soon?!

$3/pair will go to marine protected areas and their communities to: 1) incentivize protection and enforcement with fair compensation, b) encourage enthusiasm for ocean literacy and stewardship through social marketing, and iii) support indigenous and local ecological knowledge.

Of note: purchasing skivvies won't guarantee you the exact product pictured; we’re presently made to order (and love a little character) so print colors will vary. 


P.S. Who is this "we" we speak of?

Bright blue minds with shameless (wet) wit.  Inspired by the 2023 IMPAC x TABOO Vancouver rendez vous, we're excited to finally be living the dream!  We’ll work to ensure that your bum is sustainably covered - and that coastal communities benefit for that win-win-win, but we appreciate your patience as we work out the kinks!

*Think: sea level rise, ocean acidification, ocean warming, extreme weather (disasters), coastal development, invasive species, oil/gas/mineral resource extraction, overfishing, environmental injustice, marine debris and microplastics, nonpoint-source pollution (ugh you pfas), the.list.goes.on.  Basically, all the things you want to keep in fine print, (/hide at bottom, ehm) because it hurts too much to see them in Times 12pt - or Calibri 11pt, or overshadowing the positive.  Underwear won’t save the world.  We will.
